The intake marks a significant increase a year on from the 15 that joined in 2017. Out of the group, 29 are female and 21 are male.
The new recruits join the business across the commercial business lines under the BNP Paribas Real Estate brand, as well as the rural, planning and development teams which trade under Strutt & Parker.
This is the first joint cohort since the two companies merged last year.
This year, the rural department accounted for the largest proportion of new hires, with 19 graduates joining across the country.
Stephen Wolfe, head of valuation and graduate board sponsor at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “Our graduate programme has been proven to help launch highly successful real estate careers. I joined Strutt & Parker’s graduate scheme in 1989 and our chief operating officer Mark England also started as a graduate on the programme more than 30 years ago.
“Our wide range of services offer the opportunity to be exposed to many facets of the real estate world to ensure that all our graduates have the knowledge and confidence to progress in their career.”
Applications for the 2019 graduate programme open on 1 October.
