Intu non-exec director Strang steps down

Intu non-executive director Andrew Strang is stepping down from the shopping centre REIT’s board, after nine years in the role. Strang, who is also a non-executive director at Capco, will leave the board on 30 September. John Strachan, chairman of intu, said: “On behalf of the directors of intu, I would like to record my sincere thanks to Andrew. “He has made a significant contribution to the board’s deliberations during his tenure at intu.” Strang is also a member of the Norges Bank real estate management advisory board and of the investment and governance committees at AEW UK. He served as managing director of Threadneedle Property Investments for 17 years until January 2008. Other previous roles include chairman of Hermes Real Estate Investment Management, from 2009 to 2011, and a directorship at the British Property Federation, from 1994 to 2013.
