Rental growth and yield compression saw Unite Group’s London focused joint venture fund deliver 1.4% growth in the first quarter, while its national Unite UK Student Accommodation Fund posted a 0.7% valuation uplift.
The London Student Accommodation Joint Venture investment portfolio, a 50/50 jv with Singapore’s GIC which comprises 8,477 beds across 13 properties in London and Aston Student Village in Birmingham, was independently valued at £1.16bn at the 31 March.
The Unite UK Student Accommodation Fund , which comprises 25,218 beds in 71 properties across 23 University towns and cities in the UK, was valued at £2.28bn.
