Seven spectacular years at top for Cambridge agent

It’s a record seven years in a row at the top of the EG Cambridge office disposals league table for Bidwells. Acting on the four biggest deals of the 12 months to end of June, it disposed a total of 410,000 sq ft of office space. The largest deal was a 100,000 sq ft prelet to Abcam at Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Savills were joint agents. The top two agents remain unchanged from last year, but Savills has closed the gap on Bidwells, increasing its total space disposed to more than 295,000 sq ft. Cheffins dropped to sixth, but following its acquisition of Dodson Jones in June, it is expected to vie for the top rankings next year. Overall take-up was down 16%, mainly due to two large prelets inflating 2016’s figures.
