One of the worlds biggest property agencies is advising its clients to invest in warehouses and offices in central and eastern Europe as it predicts that the fall in the pound will contribute to migrant workers returning home.
Colliers International believes that the wave of migration from countries such as Poland and Slovakia to the UK has peaked and that workers will start to return eastwards, calling this the labour force boomerang
It wrote in a report to clients: “The depreciation of the pound since the Brexit vote has seen a real hit to emigrant earnings.”
