This week saw all three main political parties release manifestos for the 8 June General Election and, despite looming Brexit negotiations, all featured a focus on housing.
Labour pledged to build 100,000 council and housing association homes a year, while the Liberal Democrats proposed a rent-to-buy policy that would allow people to own their homes after 30 years.
Meanwhile, the Conservative manifesto revealed funding for council building, planning and land assembly changes and a focus on multiple tenures.
