Inland Homes secures planning consent for £30m Midlands resi scheme

Inland Homes has secured planning consent for 148 flats at Sherborne Wharf, Birmingham, the company’s first scheme in the Midlands. Sherborne Wharf is a 2.4-acre site located to the west of Birmingham city next to Birmingham Canal and around one mile west of Birmingham New Street station. The development comprises 45 one-bedroom and 103 two-bedroom flats. The site has an expected gross development value of around £30m. Inland Homes has also received a resolution to grant planning consent for a £21m development providing 58 residential units – 27 one-bedroom and 31 two-bedroom apartments – at Beaumont Works in St Albans. The homes are earmarked for a 1.4-acre site, located a 15-minute walk from St Albans City train station. The site comprises a Grade II listed former commercial unit that will be converted for residential use, as well an element of new build and a 60-space car park.
