Work is likely to begin on site in the second half of this year.
Andrew Hodgson, land director at Welbeck Strategic Land, said: “We are pleased to have secured a credible developer in the form of Taylor Wimpey to undertake the first phase of this site, which is the largest in the district.
“We have worked closely with Wealden District Council to deliver this site and we are confident Taylor Wimpey will do a good job.”
Savills Development acted for the vendor and is retained to sell the remaining phases.
