Haringey names Tottenham shortlist
Barratt Developments, Lendlease and Linkcity (Bouygues) are in the running to be Haringey Council’s development partner for its £1bn Tottenham regeneration project.
The shortlisted companies would work with the council to deliver the High Road West scheme adjacent to the £900m Tottenham Hotspur stadium development.
Plans for the scheme call for up to 1,400 new homes, community facilities including a new library and learning centre, a new public square and community park, as well a new local centre with shops, restaurants, cafés and commercial and business space.

The High Road West scheme will be delivered alongside the Northumberland Park Estate Regeneration scheme, which will be taken forward by the Haringey Development Vehicle once established.
A final decision on the partner for High Road West will be announced by mid 2017.
The mayor of London has contributed £62m of funding for the scheme on top of the investment already happening in South Tottenham, which includes:
• the redevelopment of Tottenham Hale, the first phase of the largest housing zone in Tottenham, which will deliver around 800 homes (including market sale, build to rent and affordable), improved transport links, new shops, cafés and restaurants and community facilities including a health centre; and
• the Ada National College for Digital Skills, which opened in Tottenham Hale in September 2016 and will move to a new purpose-built campus in 2018.
Alan Strickland, Haringey Council cabinet member for housing, regeneration and planning, said: “This ambitious scheme has developed following three years of consultation with the local community.
“With the support of residents, this scheme will deliver jobs, homes and community facilities, helping us achieve our wider ambitions for supporting growth in Tottenham and creating a leisure destination for London.”
GVA are advising the council.
