The Shard signs Kraft Heinz

US food giant Kraft Heinz has agreed a 12-year lease to take over 38,000 sq ft of offices on levels 20 and 21 of the Shard, SE1. The deal will see the global food products supplier relocate its European and UK headquarters from Hayes, Middlesex, to REM’s tower in London Bridge. The company’s new open-plan workspace is being designed to increase efficiency by facilitating better communication and faster decision making, while promoting collaboration and focused working amongst employees. Fit out is due to commence early in the new year. The deal means only 59,000 sq ft of office space remains in 72-floor landmark, which means that London Bridge Quarter is now 96% let. Last year, the building secured a top rent in excess of £90 per sq ft for 15,912 sq ft let to Zurich-based Fintech firm Leonteq Securities on the 26th floor.
