Argent Related has signed a deal with Haringey Council for a £1bn development including 800 homes, shops, cafés, restaurants and a health centre, in Tottenham Hale, N17.
The redevelopment was first proposed in 2014 and comes alongside a number of other large developments being brought forward in the north London borough, including the £2bn High Road West and the £2bn Haringey regeneration vehicle.
SocGen expands in St James’s
French bank Société Générale has expanded its presence at Green Property’s 8 St James’s Square, SW1, signing a new 10-year lease for 10,141 sq ft on the fourth floor at £150 per sq ft.
The offices will be occupied by Société Générale Private Banking Hambros, following its recent acquisition of Kleinwort Benson in the UK and Channel Islands.
Barratt posts 20% profit hike
Barratt Developments’ pretax profit rose by 20% to £680m in the year to 30 June.
The housebuilder said it was positive about its future prospects despite political uncertainty.
U&C wins Westside deal
Urban & Civic has won preferred developer status to partner Wolverhampton City Council on its £55m leisure-led Westside development in the heart of the West Midlands city.
The firm has a six-month exclusivity period on the 6.4-acre site, which comprises three adjacent parcels of land in the freehold ownership of the council.
