Cleary Gottlieb has agreed to pay a significantly higher rent for the tower space.
The deal takes the 500,000 sq ft London Wall Place development to 72% prelet, or 82% including Schroders’ 50,000 sq ft option for the lower floors of 2 London Wall Place.
This takes space leased across Brookfield’s London office portfolio in the past 12 months to well over 1m sq ft.
Elsewhere, US computing giant Hewlett-Packard has placed under offer the whole of EPIC UK’s 1 Aldermanbury Square, EC2.
EPIC completed a refurbishment of the 68,434 sq ft block this summer. Quoting rents are £59.50 per sq ft.
