Royal London and Canmoor have proposed to deliver a flagship 500,000 sq ft facility, with the view to address the occupational demand and current shortage of larger distribution centres in the region.
The proposed scheme sits in the heart of the UK’s logistics Golden Triangle, located just four miles from Leicester and offering connectivity to junction 21 of the M1 and junction 3 of the M69.
Matthew Barnes, senior industrial asset manager at Royal London, said: “The East Midlands continues to be the most sought-after location for logistics occupiers.
“Enderby Logistics Hub represents an opportunity to design and develop a best-in-class, multi-unit logistics asset, in a market showing strong fundamentals, where the availability of grade A supply is declining.”
Tom Hughes, development director at Canmoor, said: “We are about to create a flagship scheme that not only prioritises operational efficiency but also sets new standards in sustainability. This development will play a key role in shaping the future of logistics in the East Midlands.”
DTRE acted on behalf of Royal London Asset Management Property and Canmoor, while Cushman & Wakefield and Mather Jamie acted for the vendors.
