HB Reavis secures £106m HSBC UK loan
Developer HB Reavis has secured a £106m loan from HSBC UK through the refinancing of its recently completed Shoreditch office asset.
The Worship Square office qualified for HSBC UK’s Development Finance facility due to its strong sustainability credentials – similar to HB Reavis’ previous refinancing of its Bloom Clerkenwell, EC1, building in 2022.
The 140,000 sq ft Shoreditch building’s energy use intensity is approximately 25% below the UK Green Building Council’s 2025-2030 target and has achieved an EPC A rating.

Alan Knight, relationship director at HSBC UK, said: “We were thrilled to build on our relationship with HB Reavis with this latest refinance. In addition to its sustainability credentials, Worship Square features one of the first affordable workspaces in Hackney. We look forward to seeing more of these developments as HB Reavis expands its footprint across Europe.”
Steven Skinner, chief executive of HB Reavis Development, added: “At HB Reavis, we’re committed to developing low-carbon, future-proofed workspaces with a clear focus on wellbeing to help our customers thrive.”
HSBC UK was advised by Eversheds and Savills on the deal.
