Former McDonald’s estate head George Jones dies
George Jones, a former leader of restaurant chain McDonald’s estates team, has died aged 73.
Jones spent more than 25 years at McDonald’s, overseeing a variety of property deals before retiring in 2016. After leaving the company he continued to serve as a trustee of its pension fund.
Before joining the restaurant group he worked in the estates department of Haringey Council.

Michael Perkins at Perkins Fox, who worked with Jones throughout his time at McDonald’s, said: “He will be remembered not only for his contributions to his career but also for his kindness, dedication and the positive impact he had on the lives of many.”
