Two lettings agreed for Manchester’s 196 Deansgate

Two businesses have taken space at the Grade II listed 196 Deansgate in central Manchester.

Smart home security systems manufacturer SimpliSafe will occupy 7,689 sq ft across the first and second floors of the recently restored Edwardian building, while engineering consultancy firm Harley Haddow has taken the remaining 983 sq ft on the first floor. Both companies have signed five-year leases.

The 63,000 sq ft building, which was bought by German investment firm AM Alpha from CEG in August last year, has undergone a refurbishment featuring fitted and furnished office space to accommodate requirements of up to 5,000 sq ft, along with a new shower and cycle facility in the basement of the building.
