New head of investment lands at Madison

Madison International Realty has appointed a new-vice president of investment. The New York-based real estate private equity firm has hired Akaash Shah from Accord Group to focus on advancing the firm’s real estate growth platform investing activities. Shah will be based in Madison’s London office and will report to Mo Saraiya, managing director of the growth platform investment strategy division. “Akaash’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the real estate market will be invaluable as we continue to execute our growth platform investment strategy,” said Saraiya. “His proven track record in managing complex transactions and his strong network of industry connections make him a critical addition to our team.” Prior to Accord, Shah worked at HSBC in the infrastructure and real estate investment banking group and Royal Bank of Scotland. Madison’s growth platform investment strategy provides strategic growth capital to vertically integrated, middle-market real estate operating platforms in the US, UK and Europe, seeking to accelerate their growth and investment programs.
