Gordon Ramsay to open restaurants at Lendlease’s Stratford Cross
Lendlease has signed Gordon Ramsay Restaurants at the Pavilion building in Stratford Cross, E20.
The restaurateur has agreed to take up 10,000 sq ft of space for his Bread Street Kitchen & Bar brand. It will mark the concept’s sixth London opening, which is slated for 3 June.
Bread Street Kitchen & Bar will span all three levels of the Pavilion building and operate seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with additional areas available for private dining and events. It will also offer a community workspace within the ground floor café, and a 3,000 sq ft rooftop bar.

There will be an additional 30-seater outside terrace on the ground floor.
Lendlease said it picked Bread Street Kitchen & Bar on the back of its “alignment with the diverse audiences using the Stratford Cross and the surrounding amenities”.
Stratford Cross is home to more than 1m sq ft of offices, with the Turing Building launching this summer to deliver an additional 350,000 sq ft of grade-A space.
Guy Thomas, head of retail and place assets at Lendlease, said: “The Pavilion is the landmark building for Stratford, in the heart of a neighbourhood that has fast become a cultural and creative hub for London.
“We knew how important it would be to enliven such an iconic building, and secured Gordon Ramsay following a surrender of the former D&D lease. With the Everyman Cinema joining later this year, and the Turing Building launching in the coming months, a multi-dimensional F&B offer from Gordon Ramsay Restaurants gives Stratford Cross exactly what it needs to support a growing community of residents, workers, and visitors.”
Andy Wenlock, chief executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, said: “The bold vision for Stratford Cross is what initially attracted Gordon and I to the destination. Spending time within its energetic, creative neighbourhood and inclusive community, there is no doubt it is an ideal home for us.”
Peter Hawthorne, chief executive of LCR, said: “Taking over what is the focal point of the Stratford Cross development, Gordon Ramsay’s highly-recognised F&B brands are an ideal match for such an iconic building as the Pavilion. Stratford Cross is an exceptionally exciting location full of potential for F&B and retail brands, businesses, and residents.”
Stratford Cross, formerly known as the International Quarter London, is a £2.4bn joint venture between Lendlease and regeneration specialist LCR.
Nash Bond, CF Commercial, and Shelley Sandzer represented Lendlease.
