The Body Shop to close 75 more stores

More than 75,000 sq ft of retail space is due to hit the market following the latest round of Body Shop closures, according to exclusive data from EG’s Radius.

Administrators for the ailing high-street giant today announced 75 stores from its portfolio will be closed over the next four to six weeks, following on from the initial cull of seven stores announced last week.

Landlords impacted by the new round of closures include British Land, which owns Broughton Shopping Park near Chester and the St Stephen’s shopping centre in Hull. Shops are also being closed in Landsec’s Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, and the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds.
