M&S starts High Court battle over Oxford Street plans

Marks & Spencer will today begin its High Court battle against Michael Gove’s decision to block its multi-million-pound redevelopment of its Oxford Street headquarters.

The retailer said the levelling up secretary had “misinterpreted and wrongly applied planning policy”.

In July, Gove rejected plans by M&S to demolish and then redevelop its Orchard House store at 456-472 Oxford Street, W1.
