A former British Transport Police station is set for a £63.2m office makeover.
Camden Council’s planning committee has been recommended to approve a change of use and redevelopment of the station and offices at 55 Tottenham Court Road and 16-24 Whitfield Street, W1.
British Transport Police left the building for a new home at Albany House, Broadway, SW1, last year.

Mayhunt Properties’ scheme would see the basement car park removed and the first, second, third and fourth floors extended to create new office space. The plans also propose replacement facades at Whitfield Street and Tottenham Court Road, as well as PV panels and a green roof.
Mayhunt bought the site from Aquila Holdings earlier this year. The company has said if its plans are rejected, it will push ahead with an existing permitted scheme set in motion by the previous owner.
