People moves: Connells Group hires director for the North

This week’s appointments and promotions Connells Group Land and New Homes has appointed Nicky Partridge (pictured, left) as director for the North of England and Scotland. Michael Goodare (pictured, centre) has joined Eddisons’ Sheffield division as valuation director to expand its regional valuation service offering.  Europa has appointed Gemma Skeath (pictured, right) as managing director of legal and compliance. She joins from Goldman Sachs International.  Birchwood Real Estate Capital has hired Libby Thelwall as director in its debt origination team. She joins from LGIM.  Tritax Symmetry has hired Adam Lloyd as development director, Mark Gowan as a chartered engineer, and Gilly Stafford as finance manager. Shaun Metcalfe joins as an assistant planner and Danielle Cawley as an executive assistant. JLL has appointed Sophie Oliver as a director in its rating business in London. Graduates Tom Atkinson, Freya Sharpe, George Whiteley, Louis Mills and Amy Murphy join the Manchester office with apprentices Olivia Smith and Ivan Marr. Lester Aldridge has hired Sam Wylie as a partner in the real estate development team in Southampton. He specialises in residential and commercial land development.  Clarke Willmott has recruited senior lawyer Andrea Livingstone to its real estate team in Taunton. She joins from DAC Beachcroft. Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Mark Davenport as head of the litigation and dispute management group, Will Densham as head of real estate litigation, James Trafford as head of the real estate group and Rob Bullough as chief property officer.  Harry Hyman, founder of Primary Health Properties, will become chair of the business after standing down as chief executive. Steven Owen will take over the role as chair and Mark Davies will assume the role of chief executive at the AGM meeting in April 2024. Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Tom Nuttall as head of its UK valuation and advisory team, as of January 2024. Claire Pegg and Thomas Miller have been promoted to partners in the Manchester office. Lee Pemberton has joined Holt Commercial as an associate following 16 years with Coventry City Council.  Savills has appointed economist Ieuan Best to its team in Wales. He has worked in local economic development, placemaking and regeneration across the country.  MCI Developments has hired Dean Harrison as technical director, Ashley Anderson as assistant land and partnerships manager and Ryan Dodd as development engineer.  Strutt & Parker has appointed Kate Eales as deputy head of residential, James Gow as head of London sales and Anna Ambrose as national head of lettings. City & Country has appointed Wayne Douglas as managing director. Shelley West has joined as group sales and marketing director, and Marco Sidoli as regional development director.  Clearbell has promoted Alice Murray to head of sustainability and asset management to lead the development of its ESG strategy across its investment and asset management activities.  Persimmon has appointed Galliford Try’s Andrew Duxbury as chief financial officer. He will join the housebuilder’s board as an executive director. Alan Cawley has joined Avant Homes North West as commercial director. He joins from Persimmon Homes.  Naismiths has appointed Richard Jones as national head of building consultancy in London and Rob Garton as director of project monitoring in the Midlands. Ross Wilson has been promoted to director of project monitoring in London. Sarah Darvell has joined Capsticks as a partner in the housing team. She joins from Trowers & Hamlins. Charles Russell Speechlys has hired Emma Carter as a partner in its real estate team. She joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Jackson-Stops has recruited Richard Holder, Dean Lonergan and Daniel Ball as directors in Cornwall to expand its offering across the North Coast region.  Ian Fergusson has been appointed as senior partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors.  Richard Rees, managing director of Savills, has been appointed to the board of trustees at LandAid.  Knight Frank’s Marylebone residential office has hired Luke Hewens as head of lettings.
