One Portal Way £1bn regen plans to be approved
Imperial College London and Frame RE are set to receive planning approval for the One Portal Way site in North Acton, W3.
The proposed scheme will provide 1,709 homes on the former site of the Carphone Warehouse, it was submitted for planning to the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation in November 2021.
The hybrid application includes detailed plans for a 55-storey tower of 461 flats and an 18-storey block of 384 co-living studios.

The proposed scheme will provide 1,709 homes on the former site of the Carphone Warehouse, it was submitted for planning to the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation in November 2021.
The hybrid application includes detailed plans for a 55-storey tower of 461 flats and an 18-storey block of 384 co-living studios.
It also includes two 50-storey towers and a six-storey building providing a further 864 homes. An 18-storey tower will offer 188,000 sq ft of office space, with a 16-storey building dedicated to 260 hotel beds or a further 125,000 sq ft of office.
Overall, the plans provide 35% affordable housing, with additional community space and a 1.8-acre public park.
Frame RE was announced as development manager for the 4.5-acre site in May 2021.
The site has an existing consent for a 1m sq ft scheme comprising 764 flats, 16,000 sq ft of office space and 33,000 sq ft of retail and leisure spread across eight buildings, ranging in height from six to 32 storeys.
