Camden Council has given the go-ahead for three council-owned housing blocks on the Regent’s Park Estate on Hampstead Road, NW1, to be converted into workspaces.
The three buildings, known as Cartmel, Coniston and Langdale, contain 156 flats, which have largely been vacant owing to the proximity of the HS2 construction works.
The development is expected to provide more than 119,500 sq ft of affordable workspace for creative industries over the next two years. Bow Arts, an arts and education charity, would manage the space on behalf of the council.
