Hands quits Terra Firma

Buyout veteran Guy Hands is stepping down from private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners.

The British financier and private equity tycoon will give up both the chief investment officer and chairman roles at the firm he founded some two decades ago.

Terra Firma will now be led by chief operating officer Paul Hatter and Hands’ son, Richard Hands, the managing director responsible for residential investments and new deals.
