People moves: Vivid appoints chief operating officer

This week’s appointments and promotions Margaret Dodwell (pictured, left) has been appointed as the new chief operating officer at south of England housing association Vivid. She will take up the new role in October. Dodwell has extensive experience in the social housing industry, most recently serving as chief executive of Lewisham Homes. Countryside Partnerships has promoted Gemma Hardy (pictured, centre) to managing director of Merseyside and Cheshire West, and Adam Sharpe to managing director of South West Midlands. James Proctor (pictured, right) has been appointed to lead Hartnell Taylor Cook’s new London office agency in the role of director and head of central London offices. He joins from Allsop. Kirkby Diamond has launched a new team in Hertfordshire led by Matthew Bowen, who has joined the business as head of agency. Panicos Loizides has also joined the firm as an associate. Eddisons has promoted Mike Coogan to director, Jack Cunningham to senior highways engineer and Genna Woods to graduate transport planner in the transport planning and highways design team based in Manchester.  Shawbrook has hired Sarah Woolf as senior regional development manager. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the specialist property market.  Avison Young has appointed Adrian Boyce as principal and head of the project management, workplace, arts and culture team, and Sarah Miles as associate director, occupier solutions, while Stephen Cowperthwaite has been named managing director of the regions. Ian Culbert has been appointed as national lettings operations director at Connells Group. Coltham has appointed Mark Snow as senior development director from St Modwen and Ros Pett as investment director from Hudson Advisors UK. Lendlease has promoted Andrea Ruckstuhl to the position of chief executive to lead its European business. He will succeed Neil Martin, who announced his retirement in April. Brendon Frye has joined CBRE’s capital markets team as a senior director, where he will be responsible for coordinating international capital flows into real estate sectors across the UK. Valor Real Estate Partners has named Cane Napolitano as managing partner and chief investment officer. He joined Valor in 2016 at its inception and played a pivotal role in the expansion of its pan-European platform. Savills has recruited Gary Murphy as a director of its auctions division. Murphy established the residential auctions team at Allsop 37 years ago. Fabrix has hired Helen Newman as its new director of sustainable investing. She has more than 20 years of expertise in the industry and was previously head of sustainable capital at CBRE. Build-to-rent operator Get Living has appointed Jon Wood as chief information and technology officer.  William Thornton, a former national residential property valuer for Home Group, has been named as head of residential agency at youngsRPS. CBRE Investment Management has hired Kilian Toms as managing director of its real estate partners strategy. He joins from Sera Global, where he was a partner and head of its EMEA liquidity solutions business. Housing association Aster Group has hired Rachel Willacy as director of procurement. Dandara has appointed Paul Ebbs as regional director for its southern region. He joined the firm in 2021 and is based in Southampton. Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed Marcus Yorke-Long from Barclays Private Bank to the role of head of private office. Avant Homes East Midlands has appointed Ben Felton as managing director to lead its regional expansion strategy. He was previously managing director at Persimmon Homes.  AXA IM Alts has appointed Laurent Lavergne as global head of sustainability. He has worked at the firm since 1994, most recently as global head of asset management and development within the Real Estate business. Amanda French has been appointed as head of the retail and leisure sector team at Clarke Willmott. She specialises in portfolio management and store development programmes for multinational retail businesses. Lovell Homes has appointed John Roach as head of operations for its North West region.  Piper Homes has hired Sarah Cooper as chief financial officer, and Darren Farmer has joined the board as technical director.
