Baseball comes to Brent Cross Town
Baseball is coming Related Argent’s Brent Cross Town, with the UK’s first indoor destination for the game due to pitch up this autumn.
The 108, a 40,000 sq ft space at the £8bn London regeneration scheme, will offer training facilities for professional teams and social games for kids, as well as indoor softball and casual hitting practice for anyone wanting to try out the sport for the first time.
Alongside this will be a food and beverage offer, big screens to watch the game, a merchandise store and an event space.

Currently around 20,000 people in the UK play baseball, but there are no year-round facilities.
The first of its kind in Europe, the 108 will feature a full-size adult infield. It will also boast four dual-sport batting cages, equipped with HitTrax, a hitting simulation set-up that can test and measure launch angle, exit velocity and distance.
The news comes as London enters the Major League, with the London Series coming to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s London Stadium later this month.
The 108 is a new brand in the UK established by baseball enthusiasts Max Trautman and Michael Wakelam, and supported by the UK’s governing bodies for baseball and softball and Major League Baseball.
It is hoped the 108 will host BaseballSoftballUK’s annual winter academies, as well as winter indoor softball leagues.
Related Argent partner Morwenna Hall said The 108 was “an exciting first for London, the UK and for the local community”.
“The 108 is a great new amenity for the area, providing a fun and accessible way of getting involved in baseball, whether you’re experienced or a beginner. It also underpins our commitment to creating the place in London for play and sport offering a variety of different experiences and opportunities for the local community.”
