Spend £28bn green fund on housing, Starmer urged

Senior Labour figures are urging Sir Keir Starmer to broaden the scope of its proposed £28bn a year green prosperity plan to fund housing and infrastructure.

Shadow cabinet ministers have asked the Labour leader and the shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves to expand the fund’s green mission so that the money can be spent on capital projects that are not strictly green in nature.
