Legal & General Capital has named a new chief operating officer, hiring from Schroders, in a push to boost its international expansion and build out assets under management.
Karen Bashford will join LGC in July. She was most recently head of enterprise change at Schroders, and earlier in her career was global change and operations portfolio manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
LGC has a target of building its diversified alternative assets under management to £5bn by 2025, with a blended portfolio return target of 10-12%.
