Ballymore has appointed Joe Cashman to the newly created role of operations director. He has more than 20 years of project delivery experience and was most recently Ballymore’s contracts director, overseeing live projects and the pre-construction of projects including Bishopsgate Goodsyard, E1, and Thames Road Quarter, E16.
Suzy Neubert has been named as an independent non-executive director at LondonMetric Property. She is currently a non-executive director of Jupiter Fund Management and Isio Topco, as well as a senior independent director of Witan Investment Trust.
Retirement community developer and manager McCarthy Stone has named Shane Paull as its new chief operating officer. He will be in charge of the company’s strategic development functions, which include land, planning, build, construction and health and safety. Paull joined the company in 2000 and became the Southern divisional managing director in 2012.
CBRE has appointed Miles Auger as head of hotels for its UK business. He will be responsible for driving performance and delivering CBRE’s hotels sector strategy across all business lines in the UK. Augur has more than 20 years’ experience in the real estate sector and was CBRE’s former UK head of hotel valuations.
McCarthy Denning has hired David Cox as co-head of private equity real estate. He previously held partnership roles at King & Spalding and White & Case.
St Modwen Logistics has appointed Gordon Kellie to the newly created role of head of portfolio to lead the management of its 12.4m sq ft logistics portfolio and support its UK growth strategy. Kellie, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector, will join in June from ARA Dunedin.
PwC UK has named Rob Walker as the new leader of its real estate practice, succeeding Angus Johnston. He joined the company in 1998 and was previously a tax partner specialising in real estate.

Planning and heritage specialist ELG has appointed post-graduate apprentice Philippa Hirst and planner Andy Darby from Lichfields. They are both based in the Darlington office.
Modular housebuilder ilke Homes has appointed David Scott as chief operating officer to spearhead the company’s growth as it seeks to increase its output to 4,000 homes a year. Scott assumed the newly created role after previously holding senior positions at Tesco and Deliveroo, where he was responsible for scaling up operations and driving efficiencies.
Tritax Symmetry has hired Katie Brereton as an associate development director. She joins the company’s Manchester office from the Arch Company, where she served as director of development – East, and was responsible for all development projects in north and south-east London.
