TikTok signs for Farringdon office development

TikTok has signed a prelet for the whole of Topland Group and Beltane Asset Management’s Verdant development in Farringdon, EC1. The social media giant will take the entirety of the 140,000 sq ft office building. The scheme connects 150 Aldersgate Street and 3-4 Bartholomew Place, both EC1. Due for completion in autumn 2024, the building is 100m from TikTok’s Kaleidoscope building, which the company leased in 2021. Approximately 80% of the existing structure has been reused to reduce embodied carbon, with other green features including green roofs and terraces on all floors. It will also have a ground-floor café and co-working area and more than 250 cycle spaces. Topland managing director Mark Kingston said the company’s “choice to build speculatively” demonstrates “confidence in the London office market, which has now been borne out by signing such a quality client”.
