The average asking price for a newly listed house has fallen by nearly £8,000 this month, the largest monthly drop in four years.
The 2.1% slide puts the average asking price at £359,137, according to data from Rightmove.
Asking prices have risen by 5.6% over the course of 2022, down from 6.3% growth in 2021.
