People moves: Land Promoters and Developers Federation elects director

This week’s appointments and promotions Kathryn Turner (pictured, left), planning director of Lands Improvement Holdings, has been elected as a director of the Land Promoters and Developers Federation. The organisation comprises of UK enterprises active in the promotion and residential development of strategic land.  The Instant Group has appointed Steve Homan as chief technology officer to support its digital marketplace offering.  Cala Homes has promoted Jennifer Wylie (pictured, right) to the regional chair for Scotland. She was previously general counsel and a member of the management board and group board.  Financial advisory firm Kroll has appointed Annika Kisby as managing director of its real estate advisory group. She joins from Allsop. Rubin Lewis O’Brien’s litigation department has appointed solicitor Alexandra Taylor as head of the team. Caitlin Nunan has been promoted to trainee solicitor. Sustainable investment manager Downing has appointed Richard Booth as fund manager for its capital solutions team. He is a former director at M&G. JLL has appointed Melinda Cross as head of UK industrial and logistics. She replaces Andy Harding who becomes head of clients for industrial and logistics. Hannah Young has joined Iceni Projects’ strategic planning team as associate director from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. Alison Kenney has joined LCP as property manager from Gold Leaf Property Investments. She will work with the asset management team, responsible for a mixed-use portfolio across the Midlands and North. AXA IM Alts has appointed Lu Gao as head of client group, Asia. He joins from Farallon Capital Management. Lunson Mitchenall has appointed Neil Hockin and John Griffin as joint managing directors to lead its retail consultancy. Stephen Clayton has joined Lambert Smith Hampton as an associate director. He was previously an energy bureau manager at Landsec. Savills Investment Management has hired Lucy Williams as head of client capital, UK. She has more than 25 years of experience in business development, capital raising and investor relations. Aviva Investors has appointed David Hedalen as head of real assets research for its £43bn Real Assets platform. He joins from abrdn, where he worked for 12 years. Hines has appointed Marc Sampietro to lead the operations of aparto, its student accommodation platform, in Italy, Spain, UK and Ireland. He joined the firm in 2020 as director of living operations. Ed Hutchinson, managing director of property developer HBD, has been appointed chairman of the LandAid Yorkshire and Humber leadership board. Jon Stott has rejoined Ardent Management as group managing director. He began his career at the firm in 2004 before moving to Gateley Hamer. Leighton Sheady has joined Ince as a partner in the Cardiff office to expand its commercial property portfolio, including leisure and retail, in South Wales and nationally. Kadens Capital has appointed Nikhil Gupta as chief financial and operating officer in Frankfurt. Greencore Construction has hired Jonathan Miller as operations director as part of its expansion plans to deliver more climate positive homes. He joins from Tilia Homes. Daniel Maddox has been named director of BNP Paribas Real Estate’s new rights of light division. He joins the firm from GIA. Laura McGrath has been promoted to Shelborn Asset Management’s director of sustainability and community. She will be responsible for its entire portfolio, including the 1m sq ft office space at Quorum Park in Newcastle. The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors has appointed Paul Danks to its global board as the international representative member. He is director of DRG Group and consultant to 3PL Real Estate. Savills has promoted Andrew Perratt to head of residential UK; Liza-Jane Kelly to head of London residential; and Justin Marking as head of global residential. Chris Phillips has joined the Earth team as an associate in energy. CHQ Architects and DMWR Architects have appointed Aart Koning as the two sister companies’ group director of sustainability. Gary Wolstenholme has joined DMWR Architects as an associate director. He formerly worked for DLA Architects, Aedas/AHR, 3DREID and Falconer Chester Hall on residential, student housing, leisure, education, and commercial sectors. Kat Behbahani has joined Evolve Estates as asset manager. She joins from the City of London Corporation, where she was responsible for managing offices in the city as well as retail and industrial assets. Bruton Knowles has appointed Carl Kesterton as a senior associate in the national building consultancy team.
