Labour means business with ‘prawn cocktail offensive 2.0’

Labour plans to meet with every FTSE 250 company before the end of the year.

In what is being dubbed the “prawn cocktail offensive 2.0”, leader Keir Starmer and shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves have been filling their diaries with meetings with executives.

The campaign is reminiscent of efforts made by Tony Blair and Gordon Brown before the 1997 election, known as the prawn cocktail offensive.
