The hotel was brought to market by Savills on behalf of the administrators of Waterfront Hotels (Southport) and Waterfront Southport Properties, the beneficial owners of the hotel.
Tom Cunningham, director in the hotel capital markets team at Savills Manchester, said: “It is ideally situated to benefit from the substantial regeneration along the Marine Lake, which is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors to Southport each year.”
The Marine Lake is set to secure a £75m investment as part of Sefton Council’s regeneration plan, which aims to deliver a theatre, conference and exhibition centre, café, restaurant and a water and light show installation directly opposite the hotel.
