GFO promotion leaves one man standing on Grosvenor Property UK board
Grosvenor Property UK has promoted Debbie Lee to group financial officer, succeeding Roger Blundell, who steps down at the end of this year after 15 years of service.
The promotion means that all but one of the positions on Grosvenor’s board are now held by a woman.
Chief executive James Raynor will be the only man on the eight-strong board when Lee (pictured) steps up in January 2023.

The promotion means that all but one of the positions on Grosvenor’s board are now held by a woman.
Chief executive James Raynor will be the only man on the eight-strong board when Lee (pictured) steps up in January 2023.
Lee has been at Grosvenor for more than seven years, most recently as group reporting director and before that as director of corporate finance. She is currently interim executive director for Grosvenor’s London estate.
Before joining Grosvenor, Lee worked at Deloitte for 13 years, where she was a director in its real estate corporate finance team, and in PwC’s external audit practice for four years.
Blundell will move to a portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles when he steps down later this year.
Raynor said: “Responsible for all financial aspects of the business, Roger has been instrumental to the continued growth of GPUK, expertly steering us through times of market uncertainty and, most recently, a global pandemic.
“As our longest-serving board member, he has worked alongside four chairs and four CEOs, all of whom have benefited hugely from his experience and wise counsel.”
He added: “An internal promotion at this level highlights the strength of our people and the exceptional career opportunities at Grosvenor across all our businesses, and we look forward to welcoming Debbie to her new role in January. I am also delighted to have such strong female talent represented in our executive team and at all levels in the business.”
From 1 January 2023, GPUK’s eight-strong executive team will comprise:
James Raynor, chief executive
Amelia Bright, executive director, London estate
Anna Bond, executive director, development
Chantal Henderson, executive director,operations
Debbie Lee, group financial officer
Joanna Banfield, executive director, HR
Rachel Dickie, executive director, investment
Tor Burrows, executive director, sustainability and innovation.
