New offices, labs and homes for Alderley Park
Bruntwood SciTech has lodged plans for the next phase of development at Alderley Park, Cheshire.
This will be the first new commercial space at the scheme since Bruntwood SciTech acquired the site in 2014.
The proposals include the delivery of 100,000 sq ft of new lab and write-up space spanning five floors, which will be suitable for both chemistry and biology uses.

The proposals include the delivery of 100,000 sq ft of new lab and write-up space spanning five floors, which will be suitable for both chemistry and biology uses.
A new office building will provide 100,000 sq ft of workspace across six floors, offering co-working and serviced, leased, and made and managed spaces. It will also feature flexible meeting rooms, lounge areas, an outdoor terrace and hospitality offering.
Kath Mackay, director of life sciences at Bruntwood SciTech, said: “It is vital that we play our role in supporting investment into specialist infrastructure – unlocking growth to meet growing demand, and keeping knowledge and innovation within the UK.”
Bruntwood SciTech has also submitted plans for the redevelopment of a former office building into 109 homes, comprising a mix of studios and one-bed flats, which will be suitable for graduates working in the life science and tech sectors on the campus. The homes will be available at around 80% of market rent.
The proceeds raised following the sale of the resi portion of Alderley Park will be reinvested into the new lab and office developments.
