In pictures: Aston Villa pitches plans for new stadium
Aston Villa has unveiled a fresh look at its plans for the redevelopment of Villa Park.
The club expects to submit a planning application for the redevelopment and expansion of the stadium later this month. A public consultation in June and July gathered views from almost 10,000 residents, businesses, stakeholders and fans.
The £100m first phase will ultimately see the stadium’s capacity boosted from its current 42,785 to more than 50,000.
