Ealing gets nod for 100% affordable homes scheme
Broadway Living, Ealing Council’s wholly-owned housing company, has got the go-ahead to deliver a 100% affordable housing scheme in Northolt.
Northolt Grange will provide 92 homes on a one-acre site bordered by Rushdene Crescent, Hartfield Avenue and Down Way and will provide a mix of apartments and family houses, across a variety of tenures.
The scheme also includes parking provision for 30 cars and a circa 7,000 sq ft children’s playdeck.

David Weatherhead, design principal at HOK, which was architect and landscape designer for the scheme, said: “This neighbourhood provides a new model for the delivery of high-quality, affordable and sustainable housing in London. Working with Ealing Council, and within the local context, we have designed a new community set around green and attractive streets, delivering a mix of housing typologies for people at all life stages.”
HOK’s design includes a modular approach to construction, with the homes comprised of a series of standardised stackable parts increasing quality, accelerating delivery and reducing construction waste.
