Lucky Voice to take the stage with first City site
Karaoke chain Lucky Voice has filed plans for its first opening in the City of London as the leisure operator looks to give a boost to its portfolio of sites.
The company wants to take space on the lower ground and ground floors of 1 The Avenue, also known as 10 Devonshire Square, EC2, which was most recently a Pitt Cue restaurant. WeWork owns the site alongside Nuveen and PFA, and operates flexible office space in the building.
Planning documents for a change of use application show the new opening would comprise nine rooms for up to 20 guests each, as well as a communal bar.

Nick Jones, Lucky Voice’s business development director, told EG: “We have wanted to bring Lucky Voice to the City for a long time, and have submitted an application for a site, but it’s still early days.
“Lucky Voice was one of the first social entertainment brands in the UK, and it is a sector which continues to go from strength to strength. Our business has thrived in spite of the challenging macroeconomic climate, and as such we are actively looking at a number of locations to grow our estate and build on our strong position.”
The company runs four private room karaoke venues – three in London, in Westminster, Islington and Camden, and one in Brighton.
