House prices have hit record levels, again, but growth is slowing.
New figures from Halifax show prices rising by 9.7% in January, compared with a year earlier.
However, monthly growth rose by just 0.3%, down from the 1.1% seen in December. It is the smallest monthly rise since June 2021.
