The sons and daughters of Russian oligarchs are buying up swaths of London, with a little help from mum and dad.
Research by The Times and Transparency International shows that owners of large portfolios in the capital include the daughter of a high-ranking Kremlin official, the son of a billionaire oil tycoon, and the daughter of a Russian MP.
“Of course the parents are paying,” said Gary Hersham, founder of Beauchamp Estates, referring to his particular experience of clients. “Especially when they’re so young.”
