Apache Capital has recruited Ashley Perry as investment director.
Perry joins from Liv Consult, after four years as director at the BTR advisory company.
During his time at Liv Perry oversaw the London office, managing the BTR and co-living teams and a £4bn portfolio of 30,000 homes in the UK, Ireland and Spain.
He has a decade of experience in the sector, including prior roles at JLL and Canada’s BTY Group.
At Apache, Perry will work closely with the senior management team to shape BTR strategy, following expansion in student and senior living.
Apache Capital has a £1.7bn prime city centre BTR investments via a joint venture with Moda Living. Last year it brought on £610m from KKR to expand this strategy.
The investor also launched single-family housing venture Present Made, with an immediate pipeline of 3,000 homes valued at £1.6bn.
John Dunkerley, chief executive and co-founder at Apache Capital, said: “Ashley will be instrumental to the success of our ambitious plans for the year ahead as we look to build on our market-leading position in build-to-rent, with ground-breaking platforms in both single and multi-family housing.”
The appointment follows senior hires at the end of last year, including bringing onboard Claire Ezekwe from Trowers & Hamlins as senior associate for transactions and structuring. Present Made also recruited Duncan Williams as head of land and planning, and Anthony Lewis as operations director.
