Muse Developments has made public its sustainable development strategy, arguing that the attention given to the climate crisis around COP26 means it wants others to be able to follow its lead.
Matt Crompton, managing director at Muse, said the strategy could provide “a clear blueprint” for the sector, adding: “As a responsible business, we wanted to take the lead and rather than just publish a woolly policy that sits on a shelf gathering dust, we wanted to show something tangible and useable.”
The strategy, ‘Our Sustainable Future’, centres on five objectives: delivering net-zero carbon scheme in construction and operation; delivering a net gain in biodiversity; eliminating waste; prioritising health and wellbeing; and giving a positive social, environmental and economic impact to the local community.
