Grainger appoints chief people officer

Grainger has appointed Michelle Boothroyd as chief people officer. Boothroyd joins from Nationwide where she was people director. Prior to her time at Nationwide, Boothroyd held senior HR roles at Santander and RBS. At Grainger she will be tasked with driving its diversity and inclusion agenda and supporting the residential landlord’s growth. Chief executive Helen Gordon said: “Her energy and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow and build on our core value of ‘People at the heart’. Our aim of being a top employer, welcoming to talent from all backgrounds, delivering great homes and a great experience to tens of thousands of residents, will benefit from Michelle’s expertise.” Boothroyd added: “I am thrilled to be joining the Grainger team at such an exciting time of growth for the company.
