The Issa brothers are expanding their empire in the US by buying a clutch of forecourts and the Sprint Kitchen food brand.
The 34 fuel and convenience stores are located in Georgia and South Carolina and will mean that the Blackburn-based EG Group will be operating more than 1,750 shops in 33 states of the US.
The deal to buy Sprint Kitchen follows EG’s focus on food brands. Last month the business also bought Cooplands, Britain’s second largest bakery chain. EG operates convenience stores, food service outlets and petrol stations at more than 6,000 sites in 10 countries.
