Civil servants have been told to “get off their Pelotons” and go back to the office, as the PM and ministers become increasingly confident there will be no need for Covid restrictions this winter.
The PM warned staff that they would be “gossiped about” if they carried on working from home, insisting young people needed the stimulus of the office.
Oliver Dowden, the Conservative Party chairman, told a Daily Telegraph fringe event: “People need to get off their Pelotons and get back to their desks.”
