House prices show no signs of cooling, even as the stamp duty holiday tapers to an end.
Over the past three months, prices have risen by 1.2%, according to Zoopla, taking the average cost of a home in Britain to £235,000. Over the past year, prices are up by 6.1%.
Wales continues to be the place where prices are rising fastest, up by 9.8% since this time last year, a rise matched by Liverpool. Prices in Northern Ireland climbed by 8.4%. In London, prices have grown by just 2.2%, below the present rate of inflation.
