Scotland’s Springfield hails record year

Scotland’s only listed housebuilder has boosted its annual profits by 75%. In its final results, published today, AIM-listed Springfield Properties reported £19.8m of operating profit from revenues of £216.7m. Last year’s figures were £11.3m off £143.5m. Total completions rose from 727 homes last year to 973, while planning has been secured for a further 609 homes. Chief executive Innes Smith said: “This has been an excellent year for Springfield.
