Online spending hit a record high of £10bn in July, as the pandemic continued to accelerate a shift away from the high street.
The increase brings the total spent online in the UK this year to £64.9bn, a rise of 18% on the same period last year and 56% higher year-on-year than in 2019, according to the Adobe Digital Economy Index.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics last month showed online sales had grown as a proportion of the total retail market from 3.4% in 2007 to 27.9% last year.
